Celtic art has 4 basic styles of pattern.
In these Make & Take sessions I will guide you to draw your own Key / Step Pattern to decorate a greeting card, including ways to use colour to create your own style.
Celtic Art patterns are great to use with many styles of media in art, craft and fibre work. I will have a range of examples for you to see.
Kit to take: Bland greeting card, instruction sheet, 2 x A4 sheets of paper.
Kit to use: 2B Pencil, colour pencils, gel pens, .4 black marker.

I will have a guide sheet with an alphabet of letters, for you to choose one to draw or trace. I will show you how to add decorative vining with simple leaves and flowers, just how it was done in Medieval manuscripts.To finish we will look at ways of using colour to create your own style.
